VOLUNTEERS
We are very grateful to our parent volunteers!
Last year over 130 parents and community personnel volunteered their services.
They are an important part of the school program. These volunteers help
the school by providing extra help and attention for students, by preparing
instructional materials, and assisting the teacher in specific curriculum
areas, helping in computer lab, media center, main office, field day activities
and sharing cultural experiences. This makes it possible for the teachers
to spend more time with the students and with smaller groups of children.
Volunteers may help occasionally for special programs
and study trips or they may work with a particular teacher or a special
student on a regular basis. Some activities may be non-instructional,
such as correcting papers, typing, preparing materials, or arranging bulletin
boards. They may also tutor a student, work with a small group, or read
a story. Volunteers often have their own special interests or talents
to share with the students, for example, slides to show for a social studies
unit, costumes, crafts, or music to share for ethnic studies, or going
along on a host nation study trip. If you would like to volunteer your
time or wish more information, contact the main office at 06181-906-980.

The Argonner Elementary School PTA
is associated with the European PTA Congress. All members of the school
community are encouraged to join and participate in the PTA. We encourage
teachers, parents, and students to support the PTA through membership,
attendance at meetings, and participation in its activities and events.
PTA meetings are held once a month and programs of interest to the students
and community are presented.
Argonner Elementary School has benefited considerably from the PTA. PTA
has generously provided funding for special events, assisted with updating
and enlarging our computer program, and provided invaluable volunteer
services. When you think about joining this organization, remember that
your support of PTA is support for our school and our students. Contact
the main office at 06181-906-980.

to the principal. Parents are invited to attend SAC meetings, which will
be held at the school each month. Concerns may also be submitted in writing
through the child’s teacher. Contact the main office at 06181-906-980.
